Fantastic results for the boys

A squad of 7 boys travelled to Hamburg and competed against a strong field of gymnasts from a variety different nations.
In the junior competition Nathan Jones (17) pipped the top two junior gymnasts from Egypt into 1st place. Craig Lovelock finished in an impressive 5th with Alex Blake just behind in 6th. Both had very good competitions. Nathan Kitcher ,currently injured ,was able to aid the team with a strong rings routine. Dynamo Team II finished in 3rd place. A fantastic result. Dynamo Team I  was made up of younger boys. Charlie Howard (9) finished a strong 11th place, Ryan Morgan (10) finished in 13th and Charlie Smith (8) finished in 16th place. These boys were competing in a field of 28 gymnasts from Holland, Egypt and Germany with gymnasts up to the age of 18 in the competition. Team I finished in a very credible 5th place.

Apparatus finals on the following day were taken by Nathan Jones - Floor 3rd place, Pommels 6th, Some top high class vaulting gave Nathan the title on Vault by a clear margin and an impressive P-bar routine was rewarded with 2nd place. Craig Lovelock competing in the H-bar final against Senior gymnasts from Germany placed a very respectable 4th place. Alex Blake was also reserve for the vault final.

Men's Coach Adam Paterson said " What a fantastic display of gymnastics from all of our boys! They certainly showed their ability and mentality to compete in a big competition like this. I am especially pleased with the younger team who were competing in their first major competition away from home. Their performances indicated a very promising future for them in gymnastics."

The boy's also proved to be very popular with other participants and the audience, signing autographs for the German crowd and also Ukrainian and Finnish teams at the end of the competition.
